We have been employed to design the Big Feastival site decoration for Jamie Oliver and his production team over the past 3 years. Embodying a rustic, colourful, quirky style we transform the 200 acre farm site with a range of handmade props, signage and decoration. From the haybale maze, giant 3m tall umbrella, handpainted main entrance signage, VIP furniture & floral decoration, Supper Club table decoration, wellington boot flower wall, big top circus tent ceiling décor, entrance archways, plus thousands of metres of handmade bunting. From an initial 25 page design proposal, detailing risk assessments & method statements, to setting up onsite with 10 of our stylists, we enjoyed every aspect of designing and realising the projects!
We have worked with Kew on numerous projects over the last 18 months most notably on their incredible Roald Dahl festival celebrating 50 years since Charlie & The Chocolate Factory was first published. We decorated the glass house, the palm house and many other areas of Kew to transform the royal gardens into a magical Dahl themed kingdom! From hanging clouds in the glass elevator, pop up squirrels in the nut room, colourful chairs in the craft tent, and pop up TVs in the television room, we decorated an array of spaces over the space of a two day set up. We have also provided a pop up library area and easter craft workshops for the prestigious botanical gardens and we look forward to many more events at one of our favourite parts of the country.
In collaboration with Rouge Events, we transformed the stunning White Rabbit Studios for the London Premiere of Amazon Prime’s TV Show ‘Outlander’. In the venue entrance we provided giant flambeaux, lanterns and red carpet, followed by luggage trunks, posters, storm lanterns and VE Day bunting to evoke a 1940s railway setting. In the foyer we created a lounge area with tartan cushions, throws, chesterfield furniture, vases of thistle, and antique props. Two giant bespoke standing stones framed the entrance to the main studio where fans were treated to the setting of a 17th Century Scottish castle – swords, tapestries, rugs, iron candelabras, an antique bar, stag’s head, velour draping, a herbology feature, and a giant fireplace…
We have been renovating retro caravans for the past 2 years, from sourcing to design to completely renovating the interior and exterior aesthetic. One comission was for a storytelling craft caravan which we transformed into a 4 berth explosion of colour and magic! The client, a primary school, uses this space as a storytelling area, and with its low cushion seating and rainbow shelving it makes the perfect wondrous space for children to relax and play. Another comission saw us transforming a 1970s Thomson mini glen into a touring clothes shop for a high end children’s clothing retailer. We repainted the entire caravan in weathershield charcoal paint and adorned it with metallic vinyl raindrops to give the impression of a dark raincloud. The inside was transformed into a bright white fluffy cloud with numerous unique shelving and hanging spaces. The caravan toured the nation over the summer and was admired by thousands.
